From wikipedia:
RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel", contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.
You can use RSS to keep up to date with stuff on the QJCR website, such as the news feed here. If you use Firefox, simply click on the feed icon () and it'll open it as a page, giving you the option to add it as a "live bookmark". If you do this, Firefox will add a bookmark that lists all the recent items in it.
It's also possible to keep track of just a single club by clicking the feed icon at the bottom of their club page. For example, the clubs/art-society's feed is events/403/feed.
Alternatively, you can use an RSS aggregator such as Google Reader, Apple Mail, Alertbear or a large number of others.
