Set in present day Moscow, this Russian film is a superb piece of fantasy. Fast-paced, edgy action is interweaved with an elaborate plot in an atmosphere that is dark and grungy. Vampires, witches and sorcerers are all used to explore the ever narrowing differences between good and evil. Intriguingly fresh. (114 mins)
