The Dial
Joseph Persad – jhjp3
The Dial is a small publication consisting of new writing from across Cambridge. It is run by Queens’ students. Anyone is welcome (and encouraged) to submit anything that they have written, so long as it has not been previously published (there are no other formal constraints), or to join the editorial committee. The publication takes the form of ink on paper, and is made available across Porters’ Lodges and Faculties at no cost. There are at least three editions of the Dial per year, though this can hopefully increase depending on the flow of incoming writing. Readings are encouraged. Listening and expressing are simultaneous acts – the individual is a component of the whole:
…Life, like a dome of many-coloured glass,
Stains the white radiance of Eternity,
Until Death tramples it to fragments…”
