BATS is one of the largest and most active drama societies in Cambridge. We are fortunate in Queens’ to have one of the best theatres in Cambridge: the Fitzpatrick theatre is a modern, well-equipped venue with a capacity of 208 and a 30-year long history of hosting outstanding performances. Inside it we gather the most enthusiastic, interested, passionate, and innovative talent from across the University and stage some of the top theatre in Cambridge.

Putting on 4 shows every Michaelmas and Lent term, as well as its prestigious outdoor May-week performance, BATS offers the perfect platform to get your hands dirty in drama. We invite all forms of applications from any form of applicant: theatre tycoon to complete novice, large scale musical to devised contemporary drama…The main emphasis is upon staging creative and fun shows in a friendly and unpretentious environment.
