There are a number of Access initiatives at Queens’ and Cambridge as a whole that prospective students can get involved in. Below is a list:
Open Days are a great opportunity to look around the university, meet current students and talk to the admissions tutors. There are university wide open days, college open days and faculty open days so you should be able to find a time that’s convenient for your students to visit. You can see a full list of dates here. Alternatively, if you’d like to bring a group to visit Queens’ to look around and talk to our admissions tutor email email@example.com to arrange a convenient date with our admissions department.
We regularly visit schools around the UK to talk about what life at Cambridge is like and demystify the admissions process. If you’d like us to come to your school, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll see what we can do!
The shadowing scheme is a scheme whereby prospective students can come and stay in Cambridge with a current students, go to lectures, basically live like a real student for a few days. Details can be found on CUSU’s website here.
