CUSU Shadowing

CUSU Shadowing

The shadowing scheme is a really important Access initiative run by CUSU. In a nutshell Year 12 students come to stay in Cambridge for a few days with a current student. The ‘shadows’ go with their current student to lectures, socialise with them and basically get to live the life of a Cambridge student for a few days. As a volunteer you will show your shadow round and show them what your life is like. Don’t worry, you don’t have to stay with your shadow 24 hours a day! It is perfectly acceptable to leave your shadow with someone else for a bit if you have stuff to do or work to catch up on. The shadowing scheme takes place in January/February, so we generally need to get volunteers in place in Michaelmas. If you’re interested and would like to know more, just drop me an email at jcr-access@queens.cam.ac.uk or take a look at CUSU’s website.
